This investigation wasn’t just another haunted house. It was the first time everything aligned: documented history, intense energy, and some of the clearest spirit responses we’ve ever experienced.

The History That Haunts

The Cottonwood Inn has a beautiful exterior, but the past it hides is heavy. Central to our investigation is the mysterious story of Severt Roen, who vanished without a trace, and the tragic fates of his brothers, discovered deceased inside the home years later.

We were fortunate to interview Dave Taghon of the Empire Historical Society. His firsthand accounts of the Roen family and the events that unfolded brought emotional depth to the story — and helped guide our investigation. Dave passed away in early 2025, and this episode stands as a tribute to his knowledge and generosity.

The Paranormal Activity

Joined by psychic medium Tammy Schuster, and later Dawn, we began documenting what quickly turned into our most active night to date. Doors creaked without explanation. Unseen voices came through loud and clear. Shadow movement, EVPs, and psychic impressions all pointed to a presence that wasn’t just residual — it was aware.

We split into teams, followed the clues from Dave’s stories, and tracked activity to specific rooms in the house. The entire experience was documented with minimal editing so viewers can experience the investigation as it happened.
