Episode 4: Ghost Town of Providence, Ohio – EVP Session in a Lost Canal Town

History, hauntings, and EVP in a forgotten town.

In this solo investigation, Josh visits Providence, Ohio—a near-forgotten ghost town tucked away in Northwest Ohio. Once a bustling 19th-century canal stop, Providence was slowly abandoned in the early 20th century due to cholera outbreaks, massive fires, and the decline of the canal system itself.

Rumors surrounding the old town speak of violent crime, rowdy canal workers, and a dark history tied to the Oberle Hotel, where many believe women once “worked” in secret upstairs rooms. While most of the town has been lost to time, the energy still lingers.

Josh sets out for a quick history lesson and an EVP session—and the results don’t disappoint. This ghost hunt offers both a fascinating glimpse into Ohio’s past and some eerie, unexplained moments.
